Aging is a blessing, a luxury not everyone experiences. This blessing, however, brings with it muscle atrophy, weakness, bone changes (osteoporosis), nerve pain, bone pain etc. The weakened muscles cannot support the body and the pressure on the weakened bones can produce fractures, cause or worsen the arthritis. The blood vessels loose elasticity to become stiff causing high blood pressure. The blood flow to vital organs is reduced and nutrients are not effectively provided to vital organs while the toxins are not carried away for elimination. An out of control gradually worsening decay sets in effecting every single organ in the body. Basic functions of walking, standing straight, climbing stairs, bending, twisting, turning needed for daily activities gradually become impossible.

OSTEOPOROSIS

Osteoporosis is a disease resulting from loss of bone mineral and bone mass. Bones become fragile and are easily broken or fractured. Osteoporosis is a "silent" disease without signs or symptoms. The only notification is when patient suffers a fracture without significant trauma. Fractures in spine, legs and arms are debilitating, produce deformity and have devastating effects. Fractures are associated morbidity and mortality specially in men.

Osteoporosis effects about 200 million people worldwide. 1 in 3 women over the age of 50 years and 1 in 5 men will experience osteoporotic fractures in their lifetime. Every fracture is a sign of another impending one. (International Osteoporosis Foundation).

Osteopenia is the precursor of osteoporosis and is now being increasingly identified in men younger than 50.

Osteoporosis is typically a result of hormonal changes, combined with deficiency of calcium or vitamin D etc. In younger adults and even children poor bone mineralization occurs from lack of proper diet, physical activity and exposure to natural sun light.

Some patient may have rapidly progressive organ failure that is extremely debilitating. Such failures can be caused or accelerated by infections, trauma or certain hereditary conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis. The liver, kidneys, spine, nerves, joints etc. can be severely damaged leaving the patient without hope or option than extensive surgery such as joint replacement, spinal rods, organ transplant requiring significant down time, pain and medications with considerable side-effect. The only other alternative left is for the patient to simply learn to live with their progressively worsening condition.

Sexual functioning is affected primarily or on a secondary basis producing a sense of worthlessness, low self-esteem, depression, mood swings and other behavior changes. Inability to function can lead to failure in financial goal achievement and patient may not be able to provide for self and or family. All factors contribute to morbidity and mortality. Stem Cells offer a simple, non-invasive, non-debilitating approach without downtime to treating various conditions. Stem Cells have the unique ability to differentiate into some 220 types of tissues found in the human body. Stem Cells administered intravenously are guided to damaged tissues by the chemicals released from them. Once Stem Cells reach the target tissue they multiply and differentiate into the specific damaged and destroyed tissues to rejuvenate and regrow them. Stem Cells also stimulate resident stem cell in these tissues themselves to differentiate and thereby intensify the repair to heal and restore function
