Covid

Acute COVID

Acute COVID is a rapid onset respiratory infectious syndrome caused by SARS-CoV-2. COVID-19 that produces extensive damage to the lungs and other organs such as the heart, brain, kidneys, immune system to name a few. Although the exact pathogenesis of COVID-19 has not been fully elucidated and treatment is mostly supportive to improve symptoms in the hope that patient will recover and survive.

Stem cell therapy in Acute COVID crisis was first investigated by Chinese Universities. Stem Cells have shown promising results in various clinical studies, few are listed in the Reference section. Stem Cells have been suggested to ameliorate the cytokine release syndrome (CRS), protect alveolar epithelial cells, repair damaged cells and other tissues. Stem Cells also boost patient's inherent immunity to cure the patient within days instead of the usual weeks taken to recover. Stem Cell treatment is also very useful as the virus is mutating rapidly with newer strains developing at a fast rate. These strains are all treatable with the same Stem Cells.

Acute COVID
AFTER STEM CELL TREATMENT

Dr. Khan has successfully treated acute COVID in patients with resolution of severe symptoms such as pneumonia in both lungs (see above), severe cough, difficulty breathing, chest pain, fever, severe weakness etc. Relief was observed in 3 -5 days following intravenous injection of stem cells where no other treatment such as antibiotics, steroids, inhalers, anti-inflammatory drugs were effective. This result is similar to that reported in multiple Publications from China and more recently from other countries as well.

Long COVID

Long COVID is described by Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) as follows "Post-COVID conditions are a wide range of new, returning, or ongoing health problems people can experience four or more weeks after first being infected with the virus that causes COVID-19. Even people who did not have COVID-19 symptoms in the days or weeks after they were infected can have post-COVID conditions. These conditions can present as different types and combinations of health problems for different lengths of time. These post-COVID conditions are also known as long COVID, long-haul COVID, post-acute COVID-19, long-term effects of COVID, or chronic COVID."

Acute COVID September 2020
Long COVID October 2021

Long COVID is continuation of acute COVID with symptoms including prolonged weakness, difficulty breathing, chest pain, heart issues, memory issues, kidney issues, joint problems etc. These symptoms are caused by damage to lungs (pulmonary fibrosis), heart, brain, kidney, muscles etc.

Umbilical Cord derived Stem Cells have the unique capability of differentiating into all 220 cell types in the human body. Once injected intravenously they are guided by chemicals released from damaged and dead tissues. Once at the target Stem Cells multiply, differentiate to repair and regenerate the damaged and dead tissues. Patients start feeling more energetic with less pains and other symptoms to recover easily without any down time. Dr. Khan has realized that some patients may need more than one injection of stem cells for optimal recovery as damage may be quite extensive.
